The Artemis Pentland Peaks Challenge is a charity walking event in the Pentland Hills near Edinburgh. The next Pentland Peaks Challenge will take place on Saturday 2nd September 2023. There will be Gold (27 miles), Silver (14 miles) and Bronze (8 miles) challenge routes to test every level of fitness. Click the link above to register.
The Routes
27 MILES
The toughest endurance challenge. Walk 27 miles, climb 7 peaks. Choose this challenge if you want to test your fitness to the max. The Gold route is likely to take up to 12 hours to complete, depending on your level of fitness.
14 MILES
A big challenge. Walk 14 miles, climb 5 peaks. Choose silver if you want a challenge but still want to be home in time for tea! The Silver route is likely to take up to 8 hours to complete.
10 MILES
A good challenge. Walk 10 miles, climb 3 peaks. Choose Bronze if you want a leisurely hike in the hills. The Bronze route is likely to take up to 6 hours to complete.
The Artemis Pentland Peaks Challenge will take place on Saturday 2nd September 2023. The event will start and finish at Cockdurno farm, less than 1 mile from Balerno, Edinburgh. The event will raise funds for two fantastic charities, Mary’s Meals and the John Muir Trust. Every penny raised will go to the charities as the Artemis Charitable Foundation is covering the event costs.
